SPEAKER_02

Hi guys, welcome back to Seven O Teach Met. It's Samantha and Sabrina. The amount of love that we've been getting on Instagram.

SPEAKER_03

I'm so happy that we got that many people watching us. Well, listening to us. Listening to us. I know. Actually, yeah, listen to us.

SPEAKER_02

We're starting off slow, but yeah, we're so um happy with the amount of love that we've received.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it was really nice, but um we're glad that we got to explain how we started, but also you guys got to meet us. So we're happy that we established that. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

So now on to the second episode, which is about vendor red flags and green flags.

SPEAKER_03

We're gonna be talking about why it's important to know these things. We'll be teaching you guys how you guys can get approved faster and easier. Sorry about that. You always are gonna hear sounds, it seems like the first episode it was an alarm, and then now it's another alarm. Yes. Okay, so like I was saying, we're gonna talk about why it's important and how you can get approved faster and easier with us.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, and it gives you kind of uh red flags also, if you've ever been denied in the past. And we're not taking you anyway.

SPEAKER_03

Basically, stop doing that.

SPEAKER_02

Switch up your attitude real quick.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, Samantha, before we before we start the episode, let's do a quick catch-up. Yes, because it's been a week since you guys heard from us. And it's actually the week of an event. Yes. So these are the most chaotic moments for us. Moments, yes. Yeah. Because we have to do a lot. I mean, Samantha heat presses the topags. Yes, I do. She has to do it tomorrow or the next day, I think.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I usually do it Monday, but there was an incident, so I have to do it another day this week.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, down the house. Little incident, but yeah. Um, and then I have to do promotion. So TikToks and reels and start all that promoting. Nothing. Which we do beforehand.

SPEAKER_02

We have to deal with the vendors, we have to deal with the vendor maps. So it's a lot that comes on this week. So basically it's been stressful this week. And then we have other stuff also as well. Yes, personal life. Personal life too, guys. It's not only business. Yes, we're people too. But on top of that, yeah. And then we've been dealing with like exciting news as well.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. I mean, including that we're doing two markets a month, it's more like a lot more work to do. We're trying to figure it out too. Can I say that? Yeah. Okay, yeah, it's something bigger than a market.

SPEAKER_02

So we're trying to figure it out. But that's like news. Yes. Just keep a lookout. If you're listening to this podcast, keep a lookout for next week. That's our quick catch-up for this for the quick catch-up. Okay, so let's start off with some green flag energy.

SPEAKER_03

I like that.

SPEAKER_02

Cute, right? Yeah, it's cute. But um, I think one of the most important green flag things for vendors are um pictures.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I think we should explain to them that like as as much as we love them and we would love to take all the people that apply, we really are specific into looking at applications.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, applications is like the number one first green flag on a vendor. Like, if you put so much detail in your application, into your pictures.

SPEAKER_03

We love that. Like you guys set up your tents, your booths in your backyard. We've seen that in your garage. In your garage, sometimes in your house. Yeah. For some reason they're in your house. I don't know how. But we love that you guys are putting effort and that's just your application, so that tells us a lot. If you're putting effort in your application, it means you put effort in your business.

SPEAKER_02

That's true. That's true.

SPEAKER_03

And it shows how much you are focused and um, what's the word?

SPEAKER_02

Focused and inspired, I guess. Not inspired about it. Yeah, enthusiastic about your business, and that's what we like. If you're not putting effort and you're putting one word answers as to what you sell.

SPEAKER_03

I know clothing.

SPEAKER_02

Like, how's that appealing to us? Or accessories. We rather take someone who puts every single detail of what their items are over somebody who says clothing or accessories.

SPEAKER_03

And some people take the extra step and they give us their whole like mini lifestyle life story. Yeah, and we like that. Yeah, we do.

SPEAKER_02

That's like green flag energy right there for us.

SPEAKER_03

Big green flag right there.

SPEAKER_02

But I think another one would probably be would be a second one.

SPEAKER_03

I we do look at how much detail you're putting in the description that we ask, but also pictures. Pictures are everything. If you only attach one picture and it has like just one product, it's kind of like suspicious to us.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's where we are like, okay, are you or if you use AI pictures.

SPEAKER_03

That's something new that you guys are using. And yes, we know that's easier, it's efficient, but it can't be like. Don't be lazy, guys. It's kind of like, wait, is this how your setup is gonna be, or are we gonna be surprised the day of? Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Another one is um just not really putting effort into pictures. Only if you put a logo. The lighting, I mean and the lighting.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because it's like bad quality too. It's like what are we seeing?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because at the end of the day, we'll approve you if you're selling the right and correct stuff, but if you're not posting the pictures or giving us the pictures, we will not promote you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and most of you know that we promote all our vendors. Yeah. We try our best to, it's almost like 80 plus vendors, so it's hard to like promote everyone. But the ones that we do pick are the ones that we go through applications and they're attaching good pictures.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, if you're attaching one picture, what are we supposed to use, guys?

SPEAKER_03

And you guys, most of you might know we do collages, so it's like how can we do a collage if it's just one picture?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and we don't really have the time to go to your account and screenshot every picture. Yeah, we can't. We would love to do that, but we can't. It's a lot.

SPEAKER_03

So just try to make it easy for us, please.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and we'll promote you.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, we will.

SPEAKER_02

Another green flag, I think, would be probably communication. Communication is key. Like we were saying on the first episode, communicating with us is like a green flag also. Communication, not leaving us on red.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, we get that a lot, and it's like frustrating to us. Yeah. Because it's like you apply and then we send approval, and then it's like ghost town. Like, where are you?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it goes quiet for some reason. But if you're like replying in a timely manner or you're answering the questions quick, or especially, I think a the biggest green flag is if you want to be involved.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yes, we love people who are very involved because it does it also shows that you really put effort into your business and you want to see your business grow. You want to see your business being promoted on our ends, and we love that when you guys involve yourself in the group chat or you guys are like creating your own content and tagging us.

SPEAKER_02

Like a couple vendors who will create their own content and tag us on. And they're on top of it, and that's like the biggest green flag for us, and who that vendor will move up more quickly on an application. So, say they just applied and another vendor applied three days ago. I'll take that one before that other one because they promote our event even more. We want vendors who can come in and promote the event as well. At the end of the day, we can't do all the promotion. Vendors need to help us as well.

SPEAKER_03

And that's something that we do communicate with our vendors. It's a big topic that we bring up all the time is we do our part when it comes to promotion, advertisement, paid advertisement, but we also need your bless you, we also need your side of help. We can't we can't do it by ourselves, so it's really important that you guys help us.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it doesn't matter if you have a hundred followers, 20 followers, 500 followers, it's still gonna reach that one person who is gonna go to the market and support you.

SPEAKER_03

Or that one person's gonna tell someone else, and then they're gonna tell their mom, they're gonna tell their dad, their grandma, their neighbor, pretty much everybody, and then you have a crowd coming just to shop for you.

SPEAKER_02

So, yeah, I think that's another thing also is like vendors who who promote also.

SPEAKER_03

I think we got sidetracked because weren't we talking about communication? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well that goes with that goes with communication. I mean, but like communication too.

SPEAKER_03

If you think about it, it's about those people that they leave last minute. Oh, what n they'll be like, oh well wait. I think that's a red flag. Oh it is? Yeah, that would be a red flag.

SPEAKER_02

So just wait. But um I think also another one would probably be if you put effort into your booth.

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah. The ones that like we're actually like impressed with.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And we're not asking anyone to spend too much money because we understand we're not gonna go and tell you you can't put this out or you can't have this on your table. I mean, when we take videos, you guys quickly remove your water bottles and your food. So we appreciate that. But we're not gonna go and tell you how to run your business or how to set up your little booth.

SPEAKER_02

We don't tell anybody, honestly. I think um there's for example, there's been a vendor with us since day one, and she really had like uh not too much of like a big eye-catching appeal to her tent. It was like maybe some shelves, and just it was very simple. But then the more markets that she kept doing, she incorporated like different themes, she kept following our theme, she incorporated pink tablecloths, and her setup is so eye-catching. And like Sabrina was saying, as vendors, we started with a plain ass tent.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, and it brings back so many memories. I mean, when you first start, you don't want to like dig into your bank. So you find DIY things. We do, and it I mean, when you're starting, it's fine. We understand that we take a lot of startup businesses, so we see that and we see the improvement each event. We see you guys adding shelves, we see you guys adding more colors or new banners, yeah. New custom made new rocks and new mirrors, it's new tents sometimes. You guys really upgrade and we love those little updates that you guys do because we we know you're not gonna come the first market with a boom, a nice setup. Yeah, we know we understand that, and we're not expecting you guys to go spend lots of money on a setup, but those little things, like even if it's balloons from the dollar store, we start it like that.

SPEAKER_02

We don't care if you guys do the same thing, even if it's Dollar Tree tablecloths, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We honestly don't care. We're not picky. As long as you like it, as long as your personality shines through it, that's what really matters. Yeah, and we'll get into that too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So before we get into the next topic, I just want to say that we really appreciate you guys, and we I mean, our whole idea, our whole vision is because of you guys. We give you guys this platform, we give you guys a safe space to sell, to uplift your small businesses. So you guys we just the only thing we expect you guys to do is show up that same day and you guys prove to us how much you want to sell, how much are you uh determined to grow your business. And that's where we come in and we will lift you up. We will use our platform to lift you up, to promote you. We will do everything in our power to grow your brand. Because that's our goal is to see everyone succeed.

SPEAKER_02

I think that's why earlier, like with the whole green flags, it is a green flag of people promoting the event. We want those vendors who use our platform, like Zabrina said, basically, to promote your items. If you guys tag us, we'll automatically repost very fast. And that's what we like to see in our vendors. If you're one of those vendors who do not promote at all, and then you come to our event and you're sitting there behind the table on your phone, and we come by and we say, Oh, how did it go? and you say, Oh, I didn't make any sales, whose fault is it at the end?

SPEAKER_03

Because most of you blame us.

SPEAKER_02

And that's what to be real, it's your fault.

SPEAKER_03

It's kinda like we've gotten hurt before because we've gone around and we've asked people, like, how do you do? How did you do today? Most of them will be like, I did good, I'm happy, I I didn't do how much I wanted to do, but I'm still glad that I did sells. I can't complain. We've gotten a lot of those feedback from people. But then we also get like Samantha said, the feedback that says, Oh, well, I didn't do good, I didn't make any cells. But then if you think if we think about it and we look back at the history of the city.

SPEAKER_02

Like honestly, guys, we keep track of who promotes and who doesn't promote.

SPEAKER_03

She didn't promote or he didn't promote, so like they're depending everything on us and putting so much pressure for us to make you guys sells. But how much can we really do? We can't do enough. And then we also bring the people. We bring the audience for you guys, but the day of the event, you guys need to stand up and present your brand, present, sell your brand, sell your merchandise to people, sell your business to people, sell your vision to people, sell it to us so we can see okay, they're committed and they want to grow, and we will take them to grow with us. So basically, this is red flag energy. We're giving like a motivational speech right now, guys.

SPEAKER_02

But it's a red flag energy. Like that's red flags for us.

SPEAKER_03

Next topic is red flags. So, what a red flag that seems small but really is big to us is let me think.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like this list is gonna be a lot longer than green flags. I think the red flags would be not reading.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't want to be mean. Try not to be mean. I think that's why I am like trying to hold back. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

SPEAKER_02

This is cheese, man. If we're hurting your feelings, then obviously this is two fits. Yes, like this is you then. But one thing that gets to us the most of running this market is people who do not read.

SPEAKER_03

Everything is literally clearly stated and bold letters, guys, and a specific font for you guys to see it clearly.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, and that's what's one a red flag for us is when a vendor comes and says, asks a question that's literally right there on the application. We have one to a hundred on our applications.

SPEAKER_03

And the funny part is we have a group chat in the week before the event, we send it every other day to every day. And we still get questions. What time does the event start? What time is set up? Which tent did I sign up for? It's like, what do you mean? Which tent did you sign up for?

SPEAKER_02

Gets us scared, honestly. That gets us scared when we read these messages because we're like, are you?

SPEAKER_03

Like it makes us question, are you not reading the terms and conditions? Yeah. Like we can be putting some sneaky stuff in there, guys. Yeah. And you guys would be signing your life away without evening.

SPEAKER_02

I'm probably gonna start putting that and then see how many people read it. No. You owe us a free taco if you don't do this.

SPEAKER_03

And then next time they're like, we're like, you owe us a free taco.

SPEAKER_02

You signed it, and they're like, Imagine how many free tacos we would get. We should. We should just put it on them. I'll test them.

SPEAKER_01

And if they're listening, they'll know. And if they're not, we'll see.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm gonna test them. I'm gonna add it there in bold letters, capital letters at the very top, and say, if you ask us a question that is on here, you owe us food at our next event.

SPEAKER_03

And you'll be signing it, and if you ask us, we'll be waiting for our meal.

SPEAKER_02

We'll have your name listed. But that I think is the number one red flag to us is people who do not read. It's very simple, it's very easy.

SPEAKER_03

It's the crazy that you guys are signing applications but not reading it. It's very important. Sometimes you guys like will sign an application fast and not even know what you're signing up for. Like, which location did I sign up for? Like, what do you mean? Which location? Like, what are you doing? Who's signing it for you?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that scares us the most because it's like guys, what are you doing? Yeah, like what are you on? Doing what else are you signing that you shouldn't be signing? Go through your subscriptions right now, guys.

SPEAKER_03

This is like we're actually scared and scared for you, yeah. Concerned for you.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, but we also ask to please just read. It's simple. It takes a few minutes. It's not like we're giving you a book to read. It's just what, like one to two pages.

SPEAKER_03

We understand maybe some people don't feel like reading. It doesn't change, it's the same terms and conditions that we have, regulations, reminders that we have. The only thing that changes is like the time sometimes. Or like if we think of something, we'll add it. But it's the same thing.

SPEAKER_02

That's like the same thing over and over and over again. So that's like the number one red flag. I think another one would be vendors who pull up late at two-hour events. Pulling up late with coffee, like it's brunch.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Guys, like, come on. We have specific time frames. Show up on time. Simple time.

SPEAKER_03

And they expect us to like move through obstacles to let them in. Like, no. Because there's vendors heading up, there maybe the entries closed because we're waiting until guests get there. But they want us to move around, make everything easier for them to set up because they had to stop by and get coffee. Yeah. That's how it is. That's like a red flag for us.

SPEAKER_02

Another red flag would be complaining about cells, like Sabrina was saying in the beginning.

SPEAKER_03

Complaining about cells, but then not doing anything on their part.

SPEAKER_02

If we see you on your phone not having any interaction, I think we've actually We've done that a lot where we go.

SPEAKER_03

We've had vendors tell us like we don't expect you guys to make us get cells. We know that we have to do our job and we see how other vendors just sit there. Yeah. When I enter the booth, they don't say hi or nothing. And we've seen it, like Samantha said, when we go around. We go up.

SPEAKER_02

We see the vendors who stand up basically the whole event.

SPEAKER_03

There's like vintage vendors that are outside their tents.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, standing there, literally bringing people in. And we've seen vendors who quickly get up when somebody walks in their booth and greets that person. But we've seen vendors who just sit there and they don't see a word.

SPEAKER_03

They're like hiding behind the table. You don't see them and they don't say a word, but they expect to make cells. It's like it doesn't add up. Two plus two doesn't equal four to them.

SPEAKER_01

Or how does it go?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I've heard of some each one. Last time I said a meme and I couldn't remember the name and the biggest leads before. I'll start writing it down. Sorry, guys. Ignore that part.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, vendors expect and they get mad at us when it's like, no, like Sabrina was saying in the beginning, we would always get mad, like not mad, but we would always get like kind of hurt. Like we were scared. Like we were the ones. Yeah, like we were it was our fault. And we would blame ourselves.

SPEAKER_03

Getting mad at us when we didn't make any cells. And we were like, damn, like, is it our fault? But then we questioned it. Yeah, we're like, think about it, like a couple months later.

SPEAKER_02

A couple months later we're like, nah, it's not our fault.

SPEAKER_03

Because we see how much pressure, sweat, tears we put into it. We bring you the space. You guys need to do your job too. Yeah. But you guys want us you guys want us to break our backs carrying the whole load, but we need help too, guys.

SPEAKER_02

A lot of you expect for us to be at your tents also making this as well, I guess.

SPEAKER_03

I didn't know I'm working there too. I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_02

But that's another red flag, a major red flag for us, is those vendors were very iffy on bringing back, honestly. So if we see your application pop up, we're like, should we give them another try? Will they have a better attitude? But usually when we do bring them back, it's like even worse.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we don't want that energy in our market. We want all our vendors to be nice, to be very friendly, because that's important to our guests, too, our attendees. If our attendees aren't happy and they're like, oh, like, why did I show up here? We don't want that. We want their experience to be good too.

SPEAKER_02

Which it goes into the next red flag, attitude. Yes. We've had a lot of vendors we've kicked out because of you guys' attitude.

SPEAKER_03

You guys treat us like we're peasants. Like it's like, damn, I don't know what's in the air sometimes. It's like there's events that everyone's in a bad mood. Yeah. We're getting snapped at because we're asking you if you can line up your tent or make it straight when presentation is everything to us. We're running a market. We're running.

SPEAKER_02

You guys go to other markets that don't care about presentation, that don't show you to your spot or something, but that's not us.

SPEAKER_03

In the beginning, we didn't care. We were like, okay, line up here. We were not straining tents. We had a drone come in one's home. And after that day. That was like the first year. Yes. After that day, we all had to talk and we were like, no, guys, we need to like get this right. We need to act right because this is how it should be looking. It was a disaster. The slanted were ugly.

SPEAKER_02

It was like it looked like a garage sale.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like honestly, it looked like a garage cell because there was tents missing.

SPEAKER_03

People were selling out of their tents. You knocked in your tent over here.

SPEAKER_02

There was no tent covers on some. There was slanted. The rows, you couldn't even tell which row was what row. Like it just looks so good. It was like a maze. Yeah, it looks so bad. And presentation to us is everything.

SPEAKER_03

We can learn that the hard way. And that's what we've tried to like convince you guys. Like, try, help us be cuter, do this, do this, giving you guys tips. Some of you guys take it, some of you guys don't. But then when it comes to like the whole layout, that's where it's like really important to us because it is our event, it is our market. So presentation is everything to us, including if we want to keep growing. We have a lot of eyes on us. Yeah. I can say that. I mean, if we want to build our portfolio, guys, help us out. No, like, come on, guys. We're not asking for much. Just a couple inches back in your space. That's it. That's all you have to do.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, it goes attitude. Attitude. Yeah, we've had to kick a lot of vendors out. We had we've gotten into fights for you guys.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god. Should we tell them that story? I think we should. I think it's time. So it was like a year ago.

SPEAKER_02

No. I think it was two years. Two years. It was at Arizona Charlies. Yeah. So it's been a little bit. Was it?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it was. Oh yeah. Oh. So we had this vendor and she I guess she got her crystals from the actual rocks or something. I don't know, guys. She was out there mining the way she made it sound. So she came to us and told us, Oh, well, do you guys only take craft vendors, like handmade craft vendors? And we were like, no, we take anyone. I mean, we're supporting small businesses, so I can mean anything. I mean, not everyone's crafting, not everyone can make handmade things or can afford to make those things. Some people resell clothes, some people resell or I mean it goes into a lot. We take a lot of vendors.

SPEAKER_02

But it literally the comment from her that vendor was, Well, you shouldn't be taking people who resell things. You should only be taking handmade vendors.

SPEAKER_03

Because it affects my business when there's other vendors that don't sell the real crystals. And I get my crystals from blah blah blah. And we're like, wait, what did you say? And that's when it like turned bad because she was like basically stepping on the city.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and then she also said they're not businesses when they reselled have to make your items in actual business. So we got like a free, yeah, because we're like, how is a tumbler person supposed to make their own tumblers?

SPEAKER_03

Where is she supposed to get it, guys? She's supposed to hand melt it in the oven. I don't know. Like we understand. Vintage people are supposed to be. Sometimes vintage people, they're not gonna make their own clothing. They're gonna go find their clothing and resell it. Yes, and they do. Simple as that. But they take their time and that's that's what we care about. If they're putting effort into the business, they're taking their time, that's where other people see it, and that's how they succeed.

SPEAKER_02

So that vendor basically was banned from our markets.

SPEAKER_03

And we even told her, like, wait, are you gonna go tell that vendor next to you that her business isn't business because it's not handmade? Yeah, and we said that this market's not for you then. No, blah blah blah, and it just turned into an argument. And we were like, Okay, well, I think you should stick to your craft shows.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, like this is not for you because how we see it at the end of the day is every business is a small business. Whether you're reselling stuff, you're reselling makeup palettes, you're reselling eyelashes, eyelashes, nails, nails, or you make your own nails. At the end of the day, you're going to make sales because you're a small business. Yes. And yeah, that's like one thing for us is attitude. Like if we're not coming off to you with attitude, we expect the same.

SPEAKER_03

There's no IN team, and that's how some people take it. They're like they are for themselves, and that's all they care about. When our goal is supporting each and every one of you guys, and that's how you guys should see it too. I mean, like I said before, you guys, these are your family members, I guess you can say. You all have a goal of making money, of course, but you also have to see as uplifting each other, supporting each other, because at the end that's how you grow, that's how you expand later on.

SPEAKER_02

So if you come in with like the mat like the nasty attitude, not wanting to work well with other vendors, talking down to yourself. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Like you're thinking you're like better than everyone. We don't take that.

SPEAKER_02

We don't take that kind of stuff. Like, there's so many stories of vendors that we've had to kick out, honestly. Like, there's so many more. Because we don't put up with attitude, especially guys, we're females.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. We're not gonna let anyone talk down to us with the nasty attitude. We will not let ourselves I mean, I've we've been told like you guys have to be professional, and we are, but we will professionally kick you out because we are not gonna put up with anyone talking to us like that.

SPEAKER_02

We won't. We it's energy to energy, honestly. At the end of the day, like if you give me a dirty look, mm-mm.

SPEAKER_03

Don't mean giving anyone dirty looks here. We're all here to support each other. We're not here. We're not enemies, guys. We're literally at an event trying to uplift each other, trying to make money. I mean, this isn't a a war zone.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, a lot of vendors act like it's a war zone, but we have those good vendors too. Yes. But that's like a huge major red flag is attitude. Yes, it is.

SPEAKER_03

Another red flag that really stands out to us would be lying and being very sneaky. Yeah, that's an automatic kick out. So many times where we I mean, guys, we place we have certain rules because we believe in fairness. We believe in honesty, and when you guys break that honesty, it's like, how are we gonna trust you again?

SPEAKER_02

I think the last two red flags would be lying and uh sneaking. Sneaky.

SPEAKER_03

Just being sneaky, period.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Like being um bringing in products that you don't sell is number one. Like, guys, we go through applications, we go through your Instagram, we know what you sell. And then another one would be bringing in another vendor.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. We've had instances where you guys sneak in you guys are one vendor, and then end up we see four people in one tent, and then we see two business cards. So we have to question, like, wait, is this another business? And you guys lie to us when we see clearly it's two businesses. Or we miss it and we go back to our footage and we see different names on the table with desserts and then two different business licensing like that's an automatic business cards kick out for us.

SPEAKER_02

Like we don't play that game because all we see at the end of the day is fairness. How's it fair if you're paying one fee as a vendor and another vendor comes in and is splitting it with the other person?

SPEAKER_03

And they're making double money.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's not fair at the end of the day, so that's why we're so strict on it, and that's why that's an automatic kick out. That's why we place those those rules. Yeah. And then also lying.

SPEAKER_03

Lying to us is like Like we said before, we are females. We know when you guys are lying, and we always catch it. We just won't tell you guys.

SPEAKER_02

You guys will be like, oh they say that there's that quote that says, uh, females are like the best detectives ever. Yes, we're investigators.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, we are guys. We won't investigate. We're nosy. We are if we're being honest. We're nosy. And we will find out what you guys did instead of coming to the event and asking. Because we get those people that are like, Oh, I can't make it. You know the ones that are like we know actually people that are like lying about it, and then we find out later.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, you were at F1.

SPEAKER_03

Like, wait a minute. Like, no, you were at another marketing up.

SPEAKER_02

You were at another market.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, we've had people are like, Oh, I can't make it to your event. But then they're posting it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, because they're like family emergency. And they're posting another flyer for another event. It's like, what the hell?

SPEAKER_03

And some of you guys are smart and you guys will hide it. And you guys will probably get smarter now listening to this and get sneakier, but we will find it. We will figure it out. And then there's and you are not back in our own. But we see everything, guys. We watch and we hear. We hear. You guys might not know it, but we hear things. We have our little people out there, and we hear things. Our little people. Yes, I can't say.

SPEAKER_02

But we hear things, we know things, we see things. We have secret shoppers, guys. You never know. You never know. We know everything. But those are the major red flags, and don't do it. Yes. Even if you've done a red flag like that, just be better. Yes, do better. We'll take you back. But we rather ev any day we rather pick a green flag over a red flag.

SPEAKER_03

I think anyone would, honestly. Yes. After hearing this, you guys would probably be like, We understand why you're not taking that person or this person. Come on, guys. It's like a new year. New year, green flags. Better attitudes, better communication, better honesty.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, that's all we asked for at the end of the day.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so getting into our little story of the podcast. Samatha, do you remember any like funny, embarrassing stories that we can tell right now? We have a lot, but one probably would be the lady who drove from was it Perump?

SPEAKER_02

No. It was like some I don't know. It was like a forest drive that she took. I think it was somewhere from Arizona or something.

SPEAKER_03

Was it Death Valley? No. It was like a very dry land. I don't know. Yes, there is.

SPEAKER_02

It's not houses, it's like a resort.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, maybe she lives there. We don't know. Um let's set the scene though, like we've done before. Yes. So it was about two years ago when we were at Arizona Charlie's, our pretty close to our beginning events when we first started. And we had this lady drive in. Her car was full packed to the rim with supplies, with inventory. I'm not sure what she was selling. She didn't really say, but she was ready and she saw our event on the news, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, she saw our event on the news, so she's like, Oh yeah, I'm here to sell. We're like, who are you?

SPEAKER_03

She's like, I'm a vendor. Which vendor? What's your name? Because sometimes you guys tell us your real name and then you guys tell us your business name. So we get confused, like, okay, what's your business name? And she told us her business name. We checked our list. Nothing on there from her. So we asked her, like, well, did you apply? I mean, where did you reach us on?

SPEAKER_01

And she's like, Well, it says here on the on the TV that And she had a phone. I think she searched it up to show us. She's like, It says here it's a free event to sell. And we were like, What? And we told her, I mean, we don't have you, we don't have your city permit, you can't sell with us today. She got pretty like mad.

SPEAKER_03

Sad. She got mad, though. She got mad because she made the drive all the way over there. Well, yeah, from that dry land.

SPEAKER_01

She she traveled. And it's I felt bad. Oh, and then we even get those people, not side note, we get those people that are taking planes to come to our events. Yes, dude. Did you see that? She did a little like a vlog and she took the plane. Yeah, we can. And she showed up with the neck hello. And I was like, Did she just get off the plane? And she did. That's pretty that's pretty cool. Just wanted to say that. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, that was probably a funny story. Um, I don't know. That's another one.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god. When you guys apply Samantha and we look through Samantha looks through applications, but I look through the picture portion because I do the promotion. And you guys need to watch what you guys are uploading. Like that's a lesson for today is first of all, read the application, like we said. Put your glasses on, you guys need to read, but then also be careful what you guys are uploading.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Some of you have to do it. You guys have pictures. Yes. There's an option to upload pictures. And I don't know. I don't know if you guys are not looking when you upload or you quickly upload it, but there's been times that I see personal things and I'll be like, Sabatha. Like, we've literally seen like court paperwork, documents, we've seen baby pictures, we've seen crazy pictures. Pictures of people and I can go in description, but I don't know if that violates their privacy. But we we see it, and there's been times where we have to tell them, like, hey guys, be careful what you're uploading.

SPEAKER_02

But I think at this point we've just given it up.

SPEAKER_03

No, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We expect like maybe one to two applications that have something that's not vendor.

SPEAKER_03

Just turn around, keep looking at it.

SPEAKER_02

We're just like, let's just keep going through this application. Yeah. But guys, you really need to slow down on your applications. Like you guys are in a rush.

SPEAKER_01

And what's a rush, guys? Yeah, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

Like you guys are in a rush. You guys do not read through that application or pay attention.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know how you guys are uploading pictures of random things. Like, how does that even happen? Like, don't you guys look at the pictures before? I'm like, I'm paranoid, so I would be like double checking. Like, I didn't upload like anything personal, right? I would double check. Yeah, I would. I guess some of you just don't care.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but that probably would be in the second funny thing that we've dealt with.

SPEAKER_03

And we have so many more, but we have to like stretch it. Yeah. We can't give you all in one episode. We're trying to do every week, guys. Yes, and we are seeing manifesting. We told you, and we'll stick to the word. Okay, guys, I think we're done for today. We gave you the little cheese misside. We gave you tips, tricks, and red flags and green flags. If you're a vendor, we hope this helps you stand out in a good way, not only with our market, but with any other market when it comes to applications. We know applications can be intimidating, so we gave you some little tips that can help you out. Including with us, if you guys want to be approved faster, this will help you. Next week we are talking about what what it really cost to run a market. Not like money, but like we're not gonna give you like cost like in a metaphorical way.

SPEAKER_02

Like it cost a lot, guys. It does. So that's something that's gonna surprise you. But we again we hope that you really like this episode.

SPEAKER_03

Um We hope you keep listening.

SPEAKER_02

We're glad you're here. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, basically, guys.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. Bye. Bye.
