Hi, guys. How's everyone doing? After like I know, awkward silence. Um, it's been like over a month, maybe. Yeah, we haven't kept track. And we'll get into like why we kind of ghosted you guys for a little bit. It's been kind of hectic. We've done how many events since then? I don't know when we stopped. Maybe three events since then. I don't know when we stopped one event. Yeah, I'm not sure. I don't know when we stopped, honestly. So it's been a little bit. But we've been hanging in here. Yeah. Just chilling, um, continuing doing our thing. It was uh Sabrina's birthday first after I think that's when we stopped. That was the last one was before the rodeo market was gonna come up. So Sabrina's birthday happened, my birthday just passed, and then we're going on in June for my dad and my daughter's birthday. We went on a small vacation for my birthday, and then we just came back from a wedding. Yeah. So we've been kind of busy. Um we've been just organizing. I mean, honestly, like moving around, like little things like that. But it's the same thing other than the markets, um, marketing and new locations. Our grand opening for Boulevard is uh I don't think we even announced it yet. No, I I think we did on the podcast. I don't think we've got to do it. I think so. We had announced if I'm sure I think we announced Boulevard that Calabunga was gonna be coming back in October. Boulevard it's gonna be every other month. And that is a rooftop market. I think it's like the first ever rooftop market in Vegas. It hasn't been done before, so we're excited to especially on the strip. It's gonna be something different. Something way different for our market. So for that theme, it's going to be a girl's night out. Very girly, very like feminine, very like the girl vibes. Sabrina Carpenter vibes. Yeah. Which we didn't think. And we didn't even go for that. Yeah, we didn't go for that. The only reason we picked this Sabrina Carpenter song, Carpenter song, is because it was called like House. Oh, what's the name of the song? House tour? Yes, house tour, and it's like take me to the first level. Yeah, so we're gonna be. And we're like, it matches because it's the rooftop, but then somebody a vendor questioned us, Oh, you're doing Sabrina Carpenter vibes, and I'm like, kinda matches it. I didn't think about that. And then we're doing uh Fergusons were doing the Bad Bunny theme, which we're excited about because we are big Bad Bunny fans. We were going to do uh Tropic Gogeta with the whole Carol G, but then we found out there is drama and people were reaching out to us, so we were like, rather not get into that get into controversy, like let's stick to the OG, let's stick to someone that we love ourselves. So we went to and we asked vendors. Yeah. We asked in the group chat for opinions, and they said Bad Bunny. And we said, Yeah, let's just do it. So we're doing Bad Bunny salsa, we're doing a look alike contest. Um the next week you guys gave us ideas, so we're already working on that. Yes. Um, and then we're working on the pretty much have like the locations past. Yeah, yeah, we have the themes pretty much ready to go for the rest of the year. Pretty much and then we like to build momentum, we don't like to tell you guys straight away, so it's like you guys are waiting for it. Yeah, I know we've gotten many compliments that you guys like the theme, so we're gonna continue doing it. We don't want it to feel repetitive, we want to be different, Vegas. So, yeah. We have that, and then like Sabrina says, new locations coming, which is a huge surprise that we've been working on it. I think that's another reason we don't go and tell people our news is because we don't like jinxing things. Yeah, we believe in that we bel we're. Oh, at least I'm superstitious. I don't know. Are you Sabrina's superstitious about everything though? I make my own superstitious. She does. She's like, I can't we can't do makeup. No, we have to do makeup because then the market's not gonna do good. I'm like, girl. We can't wear that Samantha. You have to wear black. Yes, like she's very superstitious, and some of it I'm like, Sabrina, really. No, I know. She puts me back on the earth, yeah. But she's superstitious about everything. I mean, for me, I think like a couple of couple of things. A couple. Yeah, sometimes you're like, Yeah, we have to, and we're both on the same team, but other things I know I get to like into it. Yeah, Sabrina's like, no color on Wednesdays. Pink only. Like, no. But we did miss talking to you guys. Um, we just I mean, to be honest, we went into like a whole, a dark hole. I guess you can say. We did see a vendor's post, and let's just be honest, Jack's cookies. Yes, yeah, we're coming for you. Um we saw that post and it was a whole post, a whole post, a whole post, a whole post basically saying that uh we were bad organizers or rude organizers for kicking her out of our event, which was back in February. The last event at for uh fantastic, I believe. I can pull up the screen. We're gonna pull up the receipts. But it was a post that we didn't know about, and that's I think that's like the sad thing about it. We were we got into an argument with um someone else, another organizer, and they brought up this post, I guess, a way to blackmail us. I'm not sure. And she wasn't getting her way. So we got this po we set got this screenshot, and we were like, what the heck? So we don't even know how she found about it. So we tried looking, like, is there's a thread that we don't know about like 702 market hate, like evil people. So we were looking up at it was freaking two in the morning. Yes, we were like, no, I think we were up to like three or four, like looking at freaking hashtags. I was like, what the fuck? And I'm like, I'm gonna go to the house. Yeah, so I'm looking on like 702 hashtag 702 market hate. Hashtag 7020. January 17th. So yeah, so it was January 17th, and um Let me just read it. Yeah. Unfortunately, we'll not be not capital letters be vending at the 702 Market today due to complete disrespect from one of their owners. However, we do have tons of cookies, inventory, baked and ready to go. DM us to order. So we didn't know about this post, but it circulated and it came directly to us, basically. And I think we got like we like Sabrina said, we went into this dark hole because it's like, what the hell? We can never do anything right, and we'll explain like the backstory because of course nobody came directly to us to talk about it. And I think that's what like made us like kind of like felt bad because it's like there's always two sides to the story. And people don't believe that. I think because we're market organizers, they honestly think that we're not people. Yeah. That we're just like computers working with them, but we are people, we have feelings, so when we see these posts and we see the comments, we're like, wait a minute, like what's going on? But we read the comments, we saw people liking it, and we're like, that damn, that's how ri people really feel about us. Yeah. One of the comments was from another vendor saying, Yeah, I had issues too.
SPEAKER_01Let me pull up the screenshot again. Too.
SPEAKER_00Continue, Samantha. Go ahead. So basically, I'm the one that dealt with Jack's cookie. So I'm gonna be upfront and honest. If you guys know we are upfront and honest, we speak the truth, we say how we feel. So what happened was that day if vendors know our rules, one of the rules is do not cross that yellow tape, the caution tape that we had at up at Fantastic. And we made that a rule because first off, we okay. First off, we put that up because the food trucks were right there. And the thing is, is a lot of people don't realize those damn food trucks swing those doors open. Oh my god. There's an instance a vendor came in and they left they're setting up and they're going through that tape. A food truck doesn't have a little peephole to see when I can open the door to go in and out. And they're like in a rush. They honestly are in a rush for some reason. When they're opening the door, they're slamming it open. A vendor almost got hit and yelled at the food truck girl that came out like it was her fault. But it's not. It's you guys need to be sorry, you guys need to be cautious. She's getting mad. She feels it. You guys need to be cautious of where you're entering, including if we have those tape for a reason. I mean, but vendors decide to rip it off or go underneath it, and so that was like one of the main reasons we make it a rule and we say, like, do not cross that yellow tape or we'll find you. Because we're thinking of everybody's safety, guys. And honestly, we've never find anyone. Yeah, we never have. It was more of like a threat because no one was listening to us. And also because our work, our staff takes their time putting this yellow tape. It's kind of messed up, like to go and disrespect someone's work. There's just many layers to it. It it was convenient to us because we have a check-in table right at the entrance. So we force everyone. We're forcing everyone to go to the entrance, form a line, and kind of go that way to set up, check-in, set up. But we notice that when people don't check in, they're going underneath the tape. Yeah. And that's how we find out people are sneaking in. When checkups are very important, we need to make sure that everyone is in their check-in is very important. We need to make sure everyone is in their right place, if not their being in separate places that maybe someone specifically paid for. Yeah, so basically that's one of the rules. It's new, it's not new. It was there. Obviously, Jack's cookie didn't read the rules. But going back to that tape, we've even got in vendors that are like, Wait, we saw someone going under the tape. Does that rule still apply? Because they kept doing it, and we know that you have that rule, and we tell them, like, yeah, it does still apply, but they don't listen to us. Yeah. So that's a jack. We're I'm standing there by um the bitchy bite tent, and I'm outside, and I'm uh my mom's inside the tent and I'm talking to her, and Jack's cookie's passing. And I'm like, Oh, you have to go through the front. Um, that's one of the rules. So she sighs and she rolls her eyes. So that's what I'm like, hey, I'm like, you have to go through the front. So she's like, she sighs again, she rolls her eyes, and she's like, and she walks away. My mom's literally standing there listening to the whole encounter. So I quickly go on the walkie-talkie to Sabrina, who's in the front, or whoever, uh, whoever's in the front, and I'm like, hey, I'm like, Jack's cookie is trying to cross the yellow tape. She needs to go through the front, like everybody else. There's rules, and she needs to understand these rules. So she hears me on the walkie-talkie. And that's um honestly, I think with me and Samantha, we all talked about it. That we'll take accountability. We should not be speaking. Oh my god. Sh this girl has food. I don't know why she's acting like that. Um I think we'll take accountability on that part. We shouldn't have blasted it out on there. Obviously, it caused it was an issue, and we understand that part. We should have been more discreet about it. So we took that into our feedback and something we learned from we're not gonna do again. So when she came around, I was walking, I wasn't in the front, I was walk it was in the back lining up tents, and I heard it. But since everyone's on the same line, walkie-talkie line, it did sound louder than it should have been. Yeah. So I walked to the front and she's telling another team member the issue. This team member was new. That was her first day there. So, of course, she's doing her best to de-escalate the situation, listen to what's going on. But I took over. I'm like, hey, what's going on? I'm one of the owners. She's talking over me. She's obviously angry at this point. I told her well, there's I did explain to her the rules. I didn't know what was going on because I couldn't hear from the walkie-talkie either. I was talking over Samantha during that time. Another team member, she was saying, Sabrina, she was saying Samantha, no, she was saying Sabrina, can you come here? Can you come here? And I'm like, Girl, I'm Sabrina. Like, you have the wrong name. You're calling Samantha, but I'm Sabrina. So we were like arguing like funly funly about that. But I went to the front, blah blah blah. And then we saw uh she just cut me off. She didn't want to hear nothing that I was saying. I tried to talk to her. I said, Hey, can I talk? Can I talk now? She didn't want to hear that point. She walked away, and that was it. And then we saw this post circulate. So yeah, so that's basically the post. So it was kind of messed up because it's like we weren't rude to you. You were the one sighing, rolling your eyes, throwing a big dill because we weren't letting you pass through the food trucks. And we're not gonna um And that's the thing is if we would have let her pass and she would have came and got knocked over with the food truck, what would have happened? Well, not only that, I think rules apply to everyone. Everyone, no one gets special treatment. I think that's where people get confused and start disagreeing as hey, I I'm a new vendor, I've done markets with you, I get to do it this way. No, it has to be fair all the way around. Yeah. Across the whole board. If not, it shows preference, it shows we have to show that we're we have boundaries, and it seems like you guys are not fine with that. So looking at the post, we had another person comment on comment on it, uh, preview label. Privy. Yeah, she was a vendor one time too. We didn't take her back because she had attitude, she wasn't fine with me moving her tent around. And when I move tents around, it's something I do ask, like be please be patient with us. I had it. We have it all over the group chat. Guys, presentation is like our number one goal. Everything I think we told you guys after we saw drone footage of the tents being all crooked, we made it like a statement for us to be presentable, whether we have trash cans, whether the cleaning crew is keeping everything clean, everything has to be presentable. So when we line up tents, we'll go in there and we'll help you. We literally will move weights ourselves. Or we'll get we understand. Maybe it's an inconvenience. You guys are set up. So we're gonna go and we're gonna call. And I think most of you know this. We'll call staff and we like you grab a leg, we'll help you move the tent ourselves. If you don't want us to move it, we're fine. Uh that's fine too. But we'll help uh we'll just move it, you know? Yeah. So when I told this girl to move it, she wasn't okay with it. She gave attitude. But then at the end of the night, she was happy because she made cells. Because she was making cells. And it wasn't like we didn't really appreciate that. Like we're humans too at the end of the day. We're just following what we have to do as a market organizer and things that does stay state in like the regulations that we have that you guys are usually aware of, unless you don't read the regulations. But we did end up refunding her. Yeah, we she was signed up for like the next market after that, but we ended up refunding her and saying, like, we're not taking you back because of your attitude. We like we don't tolerate that, that's not fine. Especially if you're like a new vendor with us and giving attitude like upfront for your first time, it's not a great impression. That means that we probably will have issues with you the next event, most likely. And that's how it is with people. We give them a chance, and sometimes they prove themselves. They're like, hey, maybe it was a bad day. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, I was hot, whatever. We're like, okay, we don't tolerate any disrespect or attitude, but we'll give you another chance. Sometimes we give them another chance and things escalate from there, or sometimes they I don't know. It's it's confusing. It's like a hit or miss. But yeah, with her, we gave the money back, so we I don't know why she had a call. We didn't give no attitude. There was no attitude, nothing given to you. You're the one that had attitude. Yes. So that's what kind of put us like in the dark hole. And we're not gonna sit here and think you guys, I don't know if you guys think that we're used to it, or maybe because we're not very we don't show an online presence of like drama, so we don't go and say every time we get a hate comment, we don't go and blast people online like we are right now. Just because we feel like we don't want to lean into that drama.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's not our brand, that's not our goal. Our goal is community, our goal is uplifting each other. So why would we want to feed into that? And staying professional. That's our number one goal, but then that's why we created the podcast. To just tell you guys how we're feeling, and that's the truth, that's what happened. It did affect us, it did hurt us. We saw people liking it, we kind of took a step back because it made us realize, damn, do people really see us as the issue? Like because we have rules that we implement or because maybe we're too strict. So we start questioning how we run the market, how we are as people individually, what we can do better. And of course, we'll always take feedback. We want to do better, we want to improve our market and keep growing with you guys. But when we see hate and when we see only one-sided stories, it does it does hurt us. Like Sabrina was saying, it kind of put us, yeah, I think after like three years, we're not perfect. We're still learning. Um we're kind of finally showing face after a long time. Um, I mean, we started the podcast, we're we're f showing kind of face. Um we're trying to show more online presence so you guys can see guys. It's hilarious. Like no excuses like intended, but every time that we plan, we're gonna do a vlog, and we've been trying to do this damn vlog since the beginning. It's either windy, it's either we're occupied trying to figure out vendor placements last minute because somebody dropped out or something happened. It's always something going on that we never get to do a vlog, and we take blame, we should be doing that stuff, we need to be more interactive online, we need to show more face so you guys can connect with us, see that we're actual people, not organ not just organizers. Um but like I said, we're not perfect. We do maybe we shouldn't be letting things bother us, and I know that most of you guys will say, like, oh my god, let's bring up that whole topic. The La Gaia topic, too. Oh, the controversy of that? Yeah, that was another that's another controversy. I just remembered, I went blank on that. When you start talking about something, I feel like you you lose ideas, right? I feel like it was just one thing after another, honestly. It was that, and then the rodeo was like a huge behind the scenes controversy, also. Not a controversy, but a huge that's when the whole Jack's cookie appeared. We had an argument with somebody we were gonna work with. That's like another story that it that's a waste of time. I don't know if we're I wouldn't even want to feed into it because then we're giving her like a platform to talk about her, and I don't want her to have that. Yeah, it's not I feel like evil people shouldn't be getting that pres that presence online. So skip past that, we had that, and then this whole freaking La Calle was a whole controversy from start to finish. The first one was because of the damn song we picked for the first reel. What song did we even play? We played like a classic um Spanish song, yeah. Classic that you hear everywhere. Everyone knows it, so we're like, let's do it. It's hype, it's it's exciting, it's the first reel. People were not okay with that. This is not a Mexican song. This is a uh song. I don't know. This is a type of cat uh genre, this is a type of nationality, this is not like Gaia, this is not Mexican, all the freaking Thorta comments that we kept seeing. Bunch of perverts commenting, excited to see Thortas, the ice. We also got people saying ice, especially oh ice. We got the ones saying, Oh, do they swamp me? Is this gonna be the same thing? Oh, is this gonna make ghetto? This that a bunch of comments that we deleted that we should have just kept it, but we deleted it because we try to be positive. We try to keep everything positive. We don't want you guys to see the negative negativity that we get. I don't know why we have this like thought process that we want everything to be positive and pretty for you guys, which no, we have to keep it real. And that's something that I think kind of opened our eyes was no more commenting, no more, no more deleting the comments, just keep them and show them see it. And that's why we put that whole thing out because we were getting pissed off already, because it was just These comments. You oh, they need EBT, oh, a bunch of beaners. And it's it affects you because it's like we're not full we can't say we're full Mexicans. We are Salvadorian and we are Hispanic. But it does affect you when you read these comments because it's like, what the fuck? Like this is the world that this is the world we live in. And that's not right. I think because we were so excited about this this theme, we're so excited about this festival. We were like, Oh, this is something different. We can bring the community together, but then when we saw comments, we were like, damn, like, do we really want to bring this community together? This is how everyone's gonna act, you know, like so diverse, so um so much hatred. Yeah, there's another thing. So much like I lost my life. I don't know what it would be. Maybe uh diverse? I don't know. What's the word? Diverse, so people are so what's people are so damn it, help me out with it. So rude? I don't know. Um people are just I don't know. It's just I guess it's the world we live in now. It's just something that's sad, you know. It's online, it's online bowling at the end. We put the whole thing up, including with we were like I said, we were so excited, we were like bring the community together, including with everything that's going on in the world. Yeah, and then everybody's saying, Oh, is it only for Mexicans? Oh, Salvadorians are not so don't belong there. And that's like to us like us. Like, no, this is not what we're gonna do. This is not what we're planning to do. We're not gonna throw an event for just one one kind of people. We're not gonna throw we're gonna throw an event for everyone to come. Each event that we throw, we get every nationality. Yeah, we get every um even dogs come. So it's like we're open to everyone. We don't care. It's a community event. So when we do Mexican themed markets, that's what it is too. Everyone's welcome. Yeah. It's just showing you guys like the nationality. So everyone can enjoy that nationality, so everyone can see the culture behind it. But there's a lot of uncultured people. A lot of people that are not okay with with it, I guess. Which we knew. We knew there was so there's so much hate in the world. We knew that might be controversial, but we didn't know Vegas was like that. Yeah, like ours. We didn't know we opened like a can of worms kind of thing. But yeah, that's something else that we experienced. So it was basically like back to back and then what else? It's been okay right now. I mean, we know that there's a lot of markets going on and we're happy that everyone's everyone's doing markets, everyone's trying to be for the community. I think that's what matters in the world. That you have to be, including how dark a place we live in now. It's good to just come together and support small businesses. I mean, that's been our goal since the beginning w has been supporting small businesses, making them thrive. So I know that we've been kind of quiet. I know that you guys have been waiting on locations from us and even helping us, we get messages like, hey, do this spot. Yeah. Or we don't want to do any other markets until you're back. So right now we're just doing fillers. And I mean you guys we get the hate, but then we get the positives too. And we can't say that we're not happy with you guys or you guys disappointed us or hurt us because we do love you guys. There's a portion of you guys that we do appreciate that you guys are so supportive with us. And we can name everyone we want to right now if we want to, but we're not gonna turn that into that. Um But yeah, I think after all that happened, we kinda like sat down and we're like, okay, well, what do we need to approve on? What can we do more of? And that's where we're like, okay, we gotta continue with the podcast. Yeah, let's do it in this direction kind of the thing. Um, so yeah, that's what we're doing. I think that we went into this and we were very like enthusiastic. We over we oversaid, I think. Because we were saying like every week. Yeah, and we knew that was interesting. And then we went to every two weeks, and then it was like every month. I think it's like but you guys have to realize Samantha is a single mother. So her daughter was just recently sick, yeah. She caught um I don't know what she caught. An ear infection. Yeah, she started with an ear infection. And then I got I think a sinus infection for like two days. So it's going around right now. I think it's going around, and when we're hearing from like our business partners, their kids are getting sick, so we're like, oh, it's actually like really going around. But yeah, I think that's what the s we've I mean we said that on the we've said that on podcast before that we're trying to balance life with business and it is it is hard. I mean, I'm not the I'm a single mom, but Sabrina's in her twenties still trying to figure out trying to figure out my life. I said right now I was moving my room around. Like I was I felt lost for a second. I just turned Did you how old did you say I was? I never said your age. I'm just turned twenty-three, so I'm gonna have to just turn twenty-eight. And then my baby's gonna be eight next month. So milestones, I guess. Yeah. But it's little things that we're still figuring out right now. We're still trying to balance everything. I mean I mean, we were literally mopping our walls because we just got that we need to clean the baseboards. We've got negativity. Oh, and then we were saging the house. I don't know if most of you guys know like sage is a spiritual cleansing that gets rid of negative energy, any forms of negative negativity. Our family is very into like that kind of stuff. Yeah, gods, like bearing spiritual like butterfly meanings, like we felt like this huge cloud over us. And it was during that time. No, but we did mention so we felt like heavy. Well, that cloud kept coming, like it grew bigger because it took over the whole house. We did a freaking egg cleansing, yeah. Because we saw that's like popular on TikTok. We wanted to see if it was true, and I believe that. I think it I think it did show some parts that were true. Yeah. We did the cleansing, and I think after that helped. We were like turning on each other. We have our moments. I think it's normal. We hear stories that even other people do it, so it's not like we're different. Yeah. I think that we just turn on each other instead of working together against a problem. And that's a problem that we still have issues with and we still need to work on. I don't know if you guys have the same problems. I know that most of you are either family-owned or work with your partner, so I'm not sure if you guys deal with the same issue. Um, it's something we're learning on ourselves and we want to do better on communication. Yeah. Just working together, period. But that's something, yeah. That's one of the things with us is we're like very into that. We have like the black bracelet, Sabrina. That's one of Sabrina's things, is she doesn't like wearing the black beaded bracelet during events because she feels that no one will come. Let me tell you something. When last time I wore that damn bracelet, I'm telling you, I don't know whoever cleansed it and gave it to me. Maybe I didn't have the right intention that needed to be. I'm not gonna blame that person. Maybe it maybe her head was cloudy that day when she like cleansed it. But that same day my mom broke her foot. So what's that? A coincidence? Like, and then it was like chaotic that day. Yeah, it was. My mom's foot is still broken, it was hot. She's still on bed rest. Um Should we do like an update for everyone? I know, we should. So yeah, my mom's still, if you guys see her, she's still on bed rest. She was told no walking, because it'll extend her recovery time. If not, she would have to need a she would need a surgery and something that we tried to tell her, like just relax. So we ended up getting a wheelchair for her.
SPEAKER_01It's funny, because for Serena's birthday. For Serena's birthday, my mom should be the one in the wheelchair. But when we turn around, she's the one pushing the wheelchair.
SPEAKER_00She gets so antsy. I'm like, mom, sit in the chair. She's like, No, it's fine, just go, just open the door. I'm like, Mom, sit in the chair. She gets so like antsy, I think. I I mean I understand. Imagine like having to sit down all the time or wearing that stupid boot. It must be hard. And then Samantha, I don't know, did he get sick? No, she's my good thriving. I've been thriving. And then my dad, he needs to work on some things. He has to work on like a couple projects that he might be behind on, but he's still thriving. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Our dogs when he's baldied. That's fucked up. That's not even funny. She's in Chihuahua. It's normal. No. Sabrina's dog out of nowhere wakes up today knowing how to open doors now. Like we just woke up thinking, oh, I have a new ability. I want to test it out today. Never mind. We've been hearing this damn dog open the door to the trash. And we keep hearing, oop, change.
SPEAKER_00And we're like, what the hell is that? We need to open other doors, not just the trash now. So it's like maybe tomorrow he'll learn something else. And then what else? The little one, she's graduating, she's going on to the next grade. What else is going on? She's living her life. Driving too. Try being too. But that's pretty much it. So for this podcast, for this episode, we don't really have like no script, nothing like that. Um, we don't have really like what we're gonna talk about. It was more like a free-for-all in this one. Sabrina's like, we'll just do free-for-all. I'm like, okay, let's ape for it. Well, usually I like to do a script. Yeah. I wanted this one to just be organic, kind of like uh natural, genuine catch up with you guys. Yeah, just because we didn't want to like overdo this episode or talk about like specific certain things. Business like too businessy. I didn't want it to get too businessy. Yeah, because we are we finally came to starting to interview vendors. Mm-hmm. So that's what our next goal is for the podcast is not only hearing us but bringing on our small business owners who have been with us for a while. And you'll hear from them the struggles that they go through of owning a small business, how it is being a vendor, joining markets. Uh you'll you'll learn the people that we support, basically. So we didn't really want to overdo this episode. It was more like we did get the idea from I mean, shout out to Coyle. Yes. We did an interview. I think we did an interview when we first started, and then we did another interview with Justin with him. Yes. Justin March you did. He does online interviews that are pretty cool. Um he said that we should do it too. It would work well. He's the one that really like pushed for us to do a podcast, gave the idea to us, so told us like good good um good feedback, good ideas to do, like show more face, stuff that we really appreciate. He's very genuine, kind soul. Yes, and we did what a podcast, the second podcast in like March with him. So that was good. I just didn't like how I looked. Fucking Sabrina. I asked the thing is I asked for help. What should I wear? And then I asked, what should I wear on the podcast? So I pull out the purple freaking sweater I'm gonna wear, and then after after the podcast, Sabrina's like, you shouldn't have worn that.
SPEAKER_01It washed you out. I'm like, what the hell? I don't even like how I look at it.
SPEAKER_00When I was a teenager going to school, they're letting me go out in wild outfits, freaking harsh eyebrows, bangs that look fake, and nobody told me nothing. Tiny glasses, nobody told me nothing, and you guys let me go out like that. No. Mom wanted to try a hairstyle on me with curls the night before. That was it was I was in like high school. It was bad. She used to do these curls, aren't they pin curls? Yeah, the pin curls. She wanted to try some new thing that she found, and she tried these Thai curls, and I remember I couldn't do nothing about it because we were running late.
SPEAKER_01I remember you crying in the morning of because I was like, this is really bad. I look like a puppy. I look like one of those dogs who are like has poodles? Yeah. I think you even said I look like a poodle.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember. I just remember being in the bathroom, sitting on the bathtub, like counter and seeing you cry. But I don't think she did my hair. I don't know. I think I was homeschooling maybe. I don't know. I think you were homeschooling during that time. But we're getting off tools. I know. Um yeah, we got the idea to do podcast interviews, so this that's why this this little podcast that we're doing right now, it's more just talking about life, catching up, figuring out what to talk about. Talking about random stuff, honestly. It sounds like it. But figuring out things. So I was like, should we tell them what we're watching on TV?
SPEAKER_01They don't want to hear that. Are we doing movie reviews now? Yeah, yeah. Maybe giving them some heads up. Yeah, I guess we could. We saw the Michael Jackson movie though. That was good. We saw that one.
SPEAKER_00We saw that in movie theaters. It was good. It was Khaleesi that came. Uh-huh. She's the one that saw it first. This girl. She sees it first, and she's like, I'm like, oh, is it worth watching? And she's like, uh not in movies. At home. And I'm like, oh, fine, okay. I think she felt bad because our dad wanted to see it. She knew that. So she didn't want to like hype it up. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But that whole time, all she kept going was, what was it? She kept beating I know. She kept doing that movement.
SPEAKER_00They were like we went through like all of us. Mostly me. I was staying up late watching like um documentaries about him. The controversy. That's what we were in when we were in that dark hole. We were watching Michael Jackson. My TikTok feed started showing me Michael Jackson. We were listening to the song. The music, yeah.
SPEAKER_01After the movie, we were watching like clips of the movie again. Yeah. It was a good thing. We went through a whole phase about that.
SPEAKER_00That was like the top movie I think we've seen this year.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Probably. Honestly, yeah. We saw Primate. It was mid. Um what else have we seen? We just saw another movie. It's not movie we just saw. We saw Kevin Hart yesterday. That was pretty funny. That was like kind of controversial though. Yeah. If he's like, Some of it was funny. People are saying like Kevin Hart is like a part of something. Have you seen those? He's a part of Illuminati or something. Because the way that Cat Williams came out saying things, they're saying he wasn't playing around. Anyways. I haven't seen that. What movie have we seen? What movie have we seen? We just literally saw a comedy. Didn't we? Damn, what movie was it? The comedy.
unknownComedy, comedy, comedy.
SPEAKER_00Oh, um, the one that they get stuck on the island. It wasn't comedy. Uh what was What was the name of it? I forgot the name. He's a mean boss. They get stuck on an island. Yeah. And um Dylan O'Brien. Yeah. That was good. Yeah, that was good. It was a comedy though. It was funny some parts. Well, we were laughing. I don't know if it was meant to be funny.
SPEAKER_01She was just a crazy bitch. That's why she was she was.
SPEAKER_00She was crazy. And then I think that's it. And then just random TV shows that we'll watch together. Right now I'm watching like Wizards of every place. And I'm trying to watch anything. Yeah. Like, what should I watch now? I think because there's like, other than business, we're we're not like the going out type of people. We're not. I'd rather wat stay home and watch movies. I think I have a problem. Maybe I'm low on iron or something. I take naps once a day, so when it hits two o'clock, I'm out. No meetings, no nap.
SPEAKER_01If it goes quiet on Instagram, you know why. Well, my mom's supposedly she doesn't sleep.
SPEAKER_00That's a dumb thing. It's all the work that we do. Um, I don't know. I don't know. I think once it hits like two o'clock, I'm out. So Matha sometimes takes naps during the same time. We schedule meetings before two.
SPEAKER_01We're like fucking Dracula. That's what the vlog, if we would do vlogs, that's what we could do. We would be in the dark house. We do work, school, sleep. Wake up, sleep. That's what the vlog would be about. Yeah. But no, but honestly, it's because at a certain time my mom uh shuts the curtains.
SPEAKER_00All the shirt in the It's summer. Summertime, it's like, oh my god, it's really bad for my mom because she like gets into those where it's like a certain time all curtains have to be shut. Well, we have to see conserve. Yeah, so it's like it's dark in the house. Yeah. So when it's dark, it's dark. Sunlight doesn't matter to me. Yeah. I'll just sleep anyways. I think I think I'm missing a vitamin or something. Probably. Because I have to my s my schedule consists of like I have to I rather stay up. I don't know. Are you a morning or night person? Uh I think night. I don't know. You sleep at like nine. Whatever. She's a mom person, basically. I know I'm a mom person. I'd rather just be a night person and do my work then than do anything in the day or morning. Yeah. Sabrina stays late to do uh stays up late to do. That's when like my stuff. My mind is working. For me, I wake up and I start business quickly. That's for me.
SPEAKER_01And then I wake up, yeah. I'm like, okay, Sabrina, meeting time. She's like, no.
SPEAKER_00I have to eat. Yeah. I don't want to talk business. I want to eat. And then I want to talk to you. TikTok the couch for a little bit. That's our schedule, guys. I have to be more disciplined. And you'll start seeing. I think there's gonna be changes. Yes. Um, changes that should have been done before. But like we said, we're not perfect. We're still in our 20s. We're still still learning. I know, we're still learning. It's like, what? It's crazy just to think all those people watching us, like Yeah, it's crazy. It is honestly crazy. That's I think that's we have 40k, right? Yeah. Imagine we don't. Hold on. Don't say that. Yeah, 42.7. Yeah, so it is crazy. I mean, I think that's why it like stops us a lot of the time from um speaking on like we're scared to go on live because we're scared to see the comments. Like, yeah. They're crusty.
SPEAKER_01Something mean. I know.
SPEAKER_00So that's why we don't do live at all. But I think that's what stops us from showing face a lot. Because for us we have to be picture perfect. Um, for like example, that video we did for like IF. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01We took ten videos. No, but explain why. Because Samantha wanted it to be an angle.
SPEAKER_00Samantha. Because at a certain angle, I feel like my head looks big. Well, once you say it, people are gonna start. Yeah, you guys are gonna start looking now and be like, damn, she does have a big head. But I felt like that. It felt like that. It felt like Sabrina's head was smaller for some reason. I'm like, I want to be in your angle instead. But I can't hold the phone even though I have longer arms like that. Yeah, I'm forced to hold the phone now and I'm like Because I get shaky. Yeah, and I'm like, why am I holding the phone when you have freaking sloth arms? I think that we try to be picture perfect, like I said before. We're gonna be more real. You guys are gonna see more of us. You guys might get annoyed of us, seeing more of us. Like, damn, these bitches can't stop talking. And these bitches are annoying, something like that. But no, we just want to be more like person to person, more like see who we are. Yeah, I think we've been scared to hide like how our personalities are. Yeah. Because I think when we started the business, we've said it before, when we started 702 Market, we were taught that you needed to do this, this, and this and this. And we never really were able to express ourselves until after. We pay attention to how other markets do things. And we see that most of them are like pretty professional. Yeah. Pretty like just market vendors, that's it. So when we try to be different, we're like, Are we doing something wrong? Yeah. Like a market's supposed to be professional, but maybe like who said that? You set that program up. There's no role to anything. So that's where we've kind of gotten to where it's like we need to be who we are. Who we are. We need to treat 702 Market how we would be on our own personal Instagram. And comment and post hearts and like people's stuff. So those are like the changes that we've like accepted and we've said, okay, we're gonna do this different because it is it's not a market at the end, it is a community. That's what we're building. That's what we're trying to build, whether it's for like single moms or girls that maybe don't know how to make friends or maybe even couples, families. We're we're for everyone, honestly. Yeah, we are. So that's what we're trying to change and a change. Yeah. We have like a a mini rebrand that we're planning. Yeah. And my dad said, Don't announce it, just do it. But I mean, I want to announce it because you guys might be like, damn, like, what's going on? Cocaine or something. What are they doing? What are they posting? I told Sabrina, I'm gonna be using that new thing that's on Instagram now where like you take raw pictures and just post it. It was like literally today, it was that yeah, it was today that they made it. Um, with a Snapchat. Wednesdays, yeah. It's like one of those. So I'm like, Sabrina, I'm gonna go crazy with it. I said you do your thing. I don't care. I have my own schedule that I'm following right now, and I'm trying to accomplish and see if that works. Yeah. If you see like my sister's crusty face in the morning or my mom sleeping, it's because I'm being real.
SPEAKER_01Being real. I don't think they want to see that.
SPEAKER_00I think they want to see like behind the scenes and meetings, and that's another thing. Samantha is like so when it comes to like certain meetings, like city meetings. I'm listening. She deals with city, but I'm still like over here listening still. So when she jumps on a call with meetings, she's very, very short, very nice, but like short, gets to the point, wants to like jump off. And I tell her, Samantha, make friends, like they want to be make friends with them, talk to them. Like, he's been so nice to you. She's like, Well, she's like, Yeah, I should. Um sometimes she disagrees and like no, I'm trying to just get off. I'm like, No, that's not the point. You have to make friends. I think because we're so like sh freaking sheltered at home. We're like we need to be, we need to be free, we need to like just talk to people. Same with you. Uh I talk. I talk. I'm not scared to talk to people. I talk too. I'm just very like to myself. I guess I think that's a difference with me and you. Yeah, I'm just too much. Like, I'd rather be by myself. Yeah. But that's how it is. I mean, we honestly though, we are home. That's what we are. Yeah, it's we're either home, meetings, phone calls, or behind on the computer. Or like most of the time, which we're gonna start like vlogging of videos of us cleaning. I don't know if you guys want to see that. Cleaning trash cans. No, cleaning the trash cans for maybe I'll do a cleaning room too. It's hard to manage things, guys. I'm still trying to. Anyways, it's like an asylum in there. I'm going through a mood right now. I'm trying to update my room right now. Anyways, we want to do vlogs to show like I know we showed videos of us like loading up the trailer.
SPEAKER_01That was the only one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which my storage, which is another topic. I don't have storage to save videos right now, so I can't post anything.
SPEAKER_01So once that's done, you guys guys, just be ready. Like it's coming. Give me a break. We're gonna be all up in your face. Get ready, bitches. Like it's it's going down. We're gonna see us more.
SPEAKER_00Don't be surprised, don't be scared. We're just trying to make friends with you guys. We need friends because we're so sheltered. So just be ready. Yes. So I was looking back at like the podcast that we've done, and I feel bad because we have like my parents on it. We've had us, but there's one little person that has kind of given us like a push, I guess. Also, like the color scheme behind 702 Market. Uh, basically, my daughter.
SPEAKER_01You're gonna get pushed at all.
SPEAKER_00No, so she's the first grandbaby. I had a great idea today. Let's let's why not involve Kheleese in this podcast, do a little interview with her. We asked Kheleesi and she's like, sure. So we wanted to include her, ask her a couple questions. Um, we want you guys to get to know her. She is like one of the motivations behind 702 Market, like Samantha said, she is the reason why we picked orange and pink for the 702 Market logo. Cause when we started it, those were her favorite colors. It's extended. Yeah. Her color palette is like her colors. Yeah, she's likes pink, purple, black, all these colors. But before it was orange and it what is it? Orange and pink. So yeah, we thought to bring her on and also show her because she is a lot of the times, well, sometimes the schedules change, but most of the time she was at the market. She's there behind the scenes with us. I'm superstitious about that. I feel like she is our good luck charm, and when she doesn't show up, she's missed. We do miss her. I know that it's probably boring on market days because we're running a market and she has to just sit back and wait for us or just sit back and be bored, but she does she's like I said, she's our main motivation. So that I think she wants to gr grow this business for her. Yes. So it's something that she can build when she gets older or be involved into. Uh not even that, I think it's to also show her that she doesn't have to work for somebody. Um, I want her to see that we've basically grown this business ourselves. I want her to see that one day that she can do that as well with my support, just like we've done. Like anything's possible. Yeah. Yeah. So a little fun facts about her. She's eight. She's gonna be eight the same day as my dad. That was my dad's birthday gift. Uh, second one was I got her name from uh House of Dragons. Game of Thrones. I was gonna say House of Dragons. Game of Thrones, it's for Khaleesi, the uh Queen of Dragons. What else? She's homeschooled by me and my sister. What age did you have her? I had her at the age of 18. Really? I thought it was 19. 18, yeah, that's true. It was I got pregnant at 17 a year after I graduated. Okay. I went oh my hoe face. I went wild. But yeah, she I ended up getting pregnant at 17, had her at 18. So we basically match the same age. So when I'm 28 now she'll be eight. When I'm 29, she'll be nine. So that's the cool thing about it. But Khaleesi, say hi. Hi. Okay, Khaleesi. Do you like our markets?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Do you like going to them?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Why do you like going to them? It's fun. It's fun? What's your favorite theme that we did? That we have done?
SPEAKER_03The Spanish theme. Oh, you like the Spanish?
SPEAKER_01You didn't like the cowboy?
SPEAKER_00The rodeo? Or you like the Spanish one more? I like the Spanish one more. Hmm. Even though you weren't there. Yeah. She wanted to do the pinata. Yeah, she wanted like the pictures and everything. She watched the videos. Are you excited for the Bad Bunny? Yeah. Yeah. Do you like Bad Bunny? Yeah. You know his songs, right? Yeah? Yeah. What's one thing that that you don't like about the market? Uh you can be honest. Anything? No. Nothing you don't like about the market? I like all the stuff. You like all the stuff? And do you have like a favorite vendor that you always go to? The Legos. The Legos. That's her number one vendor. She likes to collect the Legos. What Legos do you have already?
SPEAKER_03Halloween popped up and the Toy Story.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah, that's true. She has a lot of stuff. Are you gonna keep collecting or no? Yeah. Yeah. And what are you what do you like?
SPEAKER_03That's I like stuff to do. I like to do like bale things. And uh read.
SPEAKER_00Very good. No, that's Khaleesi. That's our little little precious thing. Yes. So if you guys see her at the market, it's not my parents' child. It is my child. And say hi to her. Yes. She's very shy, but if you guys can say hi to her, she really likes when people say hi to her. Yes, even though she's really a shy person. She is. She's shy in public, but with us she's not. Yes. She does hee hee and all these. Michael Jackson. Yeah. What is that?
SPEAKER_02Hee hee.
SPEAKER_00Alright. But make sure to say hi to her and Khelsey. You want to say one last thing? Anything? No? Alright, say bye to everyone.
SPEAKER_03Bye.
SPEAKER_00Well. I think we said what we had to say. I hope you guys enjoyed it this time with like no script, nothing really to talk about. Yeah, it's just going off each other's vibes, energy.
SPEAKER_01Even we're Loki's like sitting in it. What? We're Loki's sitting in the dining room with no lights on. We need to start taking pictures. I know how our setup is. It's just crazy. I don't know if you guys want to see that. Scary.
SPEAKER_00We're in the dark right now because with the light on, it's gonna be hot. And we turn off the fan because it's my dad said you're gonna hear the fan. So he has his flashlight on. Not pointing at us, but like on the table reflecting off. But that's yeah, like my sister's been saying, get used to us. We're making some new changes. We're re main making a little rebrand for 702. Especially for this podcast, too. You're gonna hear our vendors, but also us with no script from now on. I think that's more fun than honestly getting script. Yeah. I think it's better. But hopefully you guys enjoyed it. Get excited for our next upcoming one. We have an interview scheduled. So we're excited for that, our first one. Excited to do it with someone that is like an OG with us. So we have some stories to tell, talk about with each other, maybe cheese men about things. Um, but yeah, we're excited. And don't forget our Boulevard Market. I don't know when this will be posted. Boulevard Market is the twenty-third, and then the bad bunny is May 30th. Yes. So we have more exciting announcements to come. Mm-hmm. So get ready. All right, bye guys. Bye.
